STRUNG UP! Alleged guitar burglar arrested

John Hartin was being hold Friday afternoon during a Cherokee County jail on $22,400 bond.

Thanks to a neighbor’s tip, a male indicted of hidden $100,000 value of antique guitars is now behind bars.

And it turns out hidden guitars was a swan strain for 38-year-old John Hartin of Woodstock. Hartin burglarized a home in a same neighborhood, hidden domicile items, before he pennyless into a home of a guitar collector, according to Lt. Jay Baker with a Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Hartin pennyless into a dual homes on Sept. 1 and dual families reported a crimes. On Wednesday, a pricey guitars were found about 20 miles divided in Marietta, where they had been deserted for reasons unknown.

Thanks to a sequence numbers on a guitars, officers were means to lapse them to their owner. And interjection to a neighbor who happened to jot down a tab series of a questionable vehicle, investigators tracked down Hartin and justification that he had committed a burglaries, Baker said.

Detective David Barone arrested Hartin on Friday, Baker said. Hartin is charged with dual depends of  thievery and was being hold in a Cherokee County jail Friday afternoon on $22,400 bond.
